    Net zero is an inadequate distraction, and we can’t even make any progress on it. 2025 is going to break 2024’s record for most emissions ever. That is not net zero, nor is it progress towards net zero.

    I wonder what would happen to emissions if we killed every billionaire and nationalized their wealth. I bet emissions would drop more than any plan floated at COP30.
