Same story here. My first Space Age run went to Gelba, I didn’t like it very much and lost interest probably half way through. Glad I asked for recommendations this run. Volcanus is actually an interesting start with a big payoff.
I went to Fulgora first because I wanted to be one with the machine, and I am glad I did, but not having a foundry for Holmium plates, or even knowing a foundry could make them, really gimped me for most of that run. I never had enough holmium.
