Bad Bunny is playing the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and right-wingers are not happy, railing against how the Latin artist has criticized Donald Trump.

They’re Americans in the same way India and ireland were British in the 1800s. Fingers crossed they act more like the Irish resistors.

Like they’re Americans in the same way that residents on Washington DC are Americans.

You do know that Puerto Rico has voted to stay, right? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proposed_political_status_for_Puerto_Rico

They’re Americans in the way that they’re fully enfranchised US citizens in every way.

Up until the 1960s they had the same legal status as residents of Washington DC. The only reason it hasn’t changed is because they’ve consistently asked for it not to.

Are you hoping Puerto Rican terrorists killing mainlanders will cause Puerto Ricans to vote for independence?

So you’re hoping for there to be violence that will result in Puerto Ricans dying?

No, they’re hoping for there to be violence that results in British dying.

Because nobody cries of spilled British blood.

Yes that’s the thing I meant. Thank you for your gracious intelligent and insightful analysis of my statement.

I mean, the greatest hope would be that only a certain type of political bent would die, but there are already people dying due to fascists. We aren’t getting out of this without resisting.
