Some US cities for comparison: NY, NY: 49.3 LA, CA: 46.2 Houston, TX: 36.4 Baltimore, MD: 26.9 So uhhh yeah.

The mosquitoes are still around and bite people during the day it’s just that at night you don’t notice them.

Depends on the species.
I suppose there are day mosquitos as well, but most come during the evening and night.
That way the mosquitos can sleep.
