It’s a little more subtle even than that. It is “OF COURSE we need to post unapologetic cheerleaders for (side A), because literally everything else in the world is cheerleaders for (side B)!”
The second part isn’t even usually true, but even if it were, the logic doesn’t make any sense. The solution to “not enough truth” is not “more of the right type of lies, to counterbalance.”
