I just found out that Osama Bin Laden’s “Letter to America” has been doing its rounds on TikTok but I haven’t seen anything about it been posted here on Lemmy about it. Perhaps people already know about it, I’m not sure. This is a link to the wayback machine. The original in the guardian has just been deleted after being online for 20 years.
Is it though? They posted something that they disagreed with but wanted to shed light on, saw it was being used to justify abhorrent things, and took it down. That doesn’t seem really chilling to me, just what any responsible person would do.
Kinda like the guy that wrote about Alphas and Betas in wolves and then realized he fucked up by studying them in captivity and there were no such things in the wild and spent the rest of his life trying to fix the mistake. That’s not self-censorship is it?
