KAN is by far the broadcaster that is the least independant from their government right now

How so? They seem to have made the Israeli government quite mad:

Israel’s public broadcaster, KAN, is under pressure from the government with its future increasingly uncertain amid threats of privatisation, questions over its future funding, and decisions that have brought the board under direct government control.

This doesn’t sound like a public broadcaster that the government is enjoying

In November, ministers put forward a bill that would have privatised the broadcaster in a concerning move that journalists’ unions said was a deliberate attempt to undermine freedom of the press.

Fascist state and wanting to control the press name a more iconic duo.

So what I was refering to is kind of this even if KAN does’t do it willingly, even if they don’t have much of a choice. They are complicit with the state of Israel.

Some notable points: -Last year KAN’s delegation was harassing other delegations backstage. -The very very irregular voting patterns for Israel most likely influenced by government funded ads. -The lyrics constatly referencing the october attack. And insisting on the victim status.

Maybe they are not fully controlled by the state but they are heavily influenced and saying they are independent is dishonest.
