    does a purchase simply hide the ads or do they still run in the background, collecting data and tracking and draining battery?

      I read in another post, that the ad library is not initialized anymore after purchasing ad-free. So no, it’s not just out of sight, but really not running in the background anymore. Can’t confirm if it’s true, but it makes sense and would be correct approach by the dev.
