Of course I also watched the new FnaF movie, it’s a must watch obviously along with new Saw. Idk why they included JP in the list but remembering the original script I can see why lol.
THE THING IS B TIER?
Opinion invalid. 😔
Evil Dead also? Boo this man
The scariest movie is the one we are living in now. Capitalism.
/s im sorry I had to make this comment.
Have you considered just being born in Juche Korea? /s
I could’ve done Juche necromancy! /s
Like if you hadn’t I was about to lol
Also just wanna say that Nightmare on Elm Street is THE best premise for a horror movie I can think of off the top of my head. Think of it: the villain kills you IN YOUR NIGHTMARES! That means that if you are a kid and watch the movie AND you go to sleep and have a nightmare about Freddy, then the movie has fulfilled its purpose multiple times over. I speak from experience, it makes the movie a lot spookier because as a kid you think that Freddy is not only REAL, but that he’s chosen YOU as a target. Man, those movies were great, especially Dream Warriors
They don’t bother me at all now, but my brother used to hide in my closet or under the bed with a Freddy mask on when I was a young child. I was deathly afraid of the Nightmare movies as a result until much later in my life.
Freddy was always my favorite
The Witch 2015
Hereditary 2018
These are a must watch. Absolutely amazing movies. They nail the atmosphere.
I will second this and add Midsommar (same people as Hereditary) and, my personal favorite, the Lighthouse (same people as VVitch).
All really good art horror with a lot to unpack.
I also really like a Korean horror film called the Wailing.
I will admit the historically realistic dialogue for the Lighthouse and the Vvitch is half the reason I love those films so much, I’m a sucker for immersion.
the thing is b tier???
anyways watch tetsuo the iron man
Where do you stand on It’s The Great Pumkin, Charlie Brown?
The Great Pumpkin is an Eldritch horror with powers exceeding that of SCP-055. Far more terrifying than any of the above movies.
Woah that brings me back like 15 yrs
tiermaker scariest movie 😎 so i’d recommend that o7
Gonna be watching The Mask and The Great Pumpkin
is ghost buster a horror movie??? if i recall correctly is a comedy film
No but also Slimer
I see you may not have watched the 1990 version of IT, which is a good movie
Did they make a TV series of that or am I thinking of something else
it was a 2 part miniseries
Hellevator. The weirdest horror movie I’ve ever seen.
Martys, the 2008 one. Most grueling horror movie I’ve ever seen. Took me months before I could sit through all of it.
Zombie strippers.

DEEP RED!!! If you haven’t seen it yet, go into it with ZERO SPOILERS!!! I fancy myself a Horror movie aficionado and my 3 favorite horror movies ever are kinda obscure and I’m kinda glad they weren’t mentioned in this so far because I think everyone should watch it without having a score to give them a preconceived notion. 1.) Deep Red (a 70s Giallo Film Classic) 2.) Trick r Treat (a newer, modern classic. Worth a revisit once a year around October. Features a cute but deadly Pumpkin-headed mascot, Sam, named after Samhain. Definitely in my top 20 movies.) 3.) House (Hausu, a Japanese “horror” film where nothing is as it seems, as those of us less familiar with Japanese movies, like me, will find some of this movie quite humorous during scenes where they want to convey important shit. The whole movie is very odd but leaves you wanting to see more and more) I HIGHLY recommend these. Also, not in my top movies but The Witch (The VVitch is how it is spelled I think, basically it was released late 2010s and is a very very good movie. The whole time you feel not scared but on edge and just wary of the consequences for every single little act committed by the actors in the film. Really good symbolism for the Puritanical perspective of the day as it takes place in the 1600s.) I really like writing movie reviews if you haven’t noticed.
I actually never liked horror movies or video games or anything. Gonna sound a bit odd but for experiencing horror my favourite method is to play something Dark Souls or Elden Ring. I am always on edge and my heart is pumping when I do that especially during boss fights. Bloodborne is a similar game as well. But despite it having superior gameplay to Dark Souls, I like it less because thematically it is closer to horror. I think I just find horror stuff too scary.
I forgot halloween was coming up otherwise I would have grabbed a used copy of RE4 Remake.
I could never get into any of the souls games, but as a horror fan I always really liked their aesthetics, especially Bloodborne. From has generally really good art direction.
If we’re talking horror-adjacent games, I wholeheartedly recommend Inscryption for the horror aesthetic.
Shocker is not a genuinely good film, but it is the most enjoyable horror that I’ve watched because of its interesting premise and how it is both intentionally and unintentionally funny. It’s a shame that they never made it into a series; I would have been curious to see that, but its box office performance was inadequate.
