I got hold of this and realized that the smart function uses Bluetooth on the phone mi home app. So that means to get a reading i have to switch on Bluetooth and hold my phone really close to it and get a reading 5 seconds later.

I want to check on this sensor remotely when I’m out of the country. Is it possible at all?
