It would be so funny if Merz cant find a majority and all the headlines calling him “future/next chancellor” would be wrong. He will be a disaster for Germany and the EU if he gets elected.
A disaster for Germany probably yes, for the EU not so much IMO.
Ukraine is probably one of the only things he will make sensible decisions on. Everything else about him seems just as corrupt, unempathetic and backwards thinking as you would expect of a CDU politician. Also anything that is bad for Germany is obviously bad for the EU, because of its influence in the EU, so idk what you mean.

That’s obviously true, but one of the upsides to Merz is that he’s very pro-EU. He’s flip-flopping on a lot of things but the EU is not one of them. I’m not worried much about his foreign policies.
