Pretty much. I had one or two posts I had made, which I liked to refer back to regularly. Finding them via the internal Reddit search was an exercise in frustration. Google, on the other hand, usually turned them up in the first page.
Reddit internal search engine is trash, googling it is the only good way to find a thread on this platform
There used to be some decent third party tools that used the api to find stuff.
