Was meant to dump my bags by the door and head back out to buy groceries but somehow managed to lock myself out even though this unit door doesn’t actually self-lock… actually idk how it worked because normally you can only lock it from the inside after the door is shut, and you can only lock it from the outside with a key…
Anyway, thank fuck my friend who lives down the road and has my spare keys is on his way back from a site out east, and crucially, has NOT yet left for a 4 day work trip to Halls Gap.
Sitting in the shopping centre across the road staying warm and enjoying supermarket dolmades. It’s tempting to buy a bag of chips but I really have a protein craving more than anything else.
E: back in. No fish curry for me tonight. But I’ll be sure as hell making it tomorrow. Old lil eggplants, fresh green beans, 4-year-old Baba’s fish curry powder, oñons, bitta tomato paste and coconut milk.
There’s a security door for the block of 3 units and I’m on the top floor. Nobody comes up here unless I’ve asked them to. I’m taking the risk. Not wearing it on me and I’ll be outta here in a few months anyway.

Yeah my friend rocked up half an hour ago thank goodness. It turns out it is possible to lock the door from the inside and then close it :|
Will be making extra copies of keys to put under doormat and in office…

Careful of leaving it under the doormat. Maybe get a lanyard or wear on a hidden necklace
