“They’re dismantling our country. They’re looting our government. And they think we’ll just watch.” <<< I witness in USA all year 2025: “LOL MAGA tears”, “LOL Tesla owners tears”, and “so amusing, Liberal Tears, LOL” … that isn’t “just watching”, it’s audiences cheering on suffering of Americans

Hundreds of Thousands Pour Into Streets for Global ‘Hands Off’ Protests Against Trump-Musk

“They’re dismantling our country. They’re looting our government. And they think we’ll just watch.”

Apr 5, 2025

I witness every single day of year 2025: People are NOT just watching. They are thrilled at “MAGA tears”, on !leopardsatemyface@lemmy.world - they are cheering on “Tesla owners tears!!!” all over social machine systems. People are cheering on “Liberal Tears!!!” over and over as they have been since year 2015.

“And they think we’ll just watch.”

I think nobody is calling out the mockery / mocking / dehumanization via LOL “MAGA tears” of Americans. “LOL Liberal Tears” behaviors of Americans.

“There’s something happening here but what it is ain’t exactly clear.” “There’s battle lines being drawn. Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong“and they carrying signs (Ooh ooh ooh) Mostly say, “Hooray for our side” (Ooh ooh ooh) It’s time we stop… Hey, what’s that sound? Everybody look, what’s going down?” - 1967

These 8-words Twitter-length / Bluesky-length responses to what is gong on in USA / North America in April 2025 Is “baby talk”. As defined by Neil Postman back in 1985:

Like how people talk about Donald Trump wearing diapers and how he is 7 years old and how Elon Musk is a dumb idiot. That’s Twitter style shit-bird ways of Tweeting debate, and it works. That’s how Donald Trump and Elon Musk got to the top of the free world in year 2024, by baby-talk and dumb shit. Anti-intellectualism in favor of drugs.

“When a population becomes distracted by trivia, when cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby-talk, when, in short, a people become an audience, and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk; culture-death is a clear possibility.” ― Neil Postman, Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business, 1985 !BackTo1985@lemm.ee
