It looks really good and I hope it adresses some issues with the current map, they’re even adding the Powershift Platform!
I’m a little bummed that it’s just a replacement of a map. I was kinda hoping it would’ve been a new, “remixed” version of Vegas that would get added to the rotation, like Fortune Stadium was to Seoul. The redesign also pulls away a bit from the “real locations in the game” element, as it doesn’t look like Las Vegas, anymore. The old version felt like it was pulled straight out of Nevada, with recognizable landmarks, but this one feels a lot more video-gamey and abstract.
Although, the improvements are still much-needed. Vegas was a pretty map, but incredibly cluttered and difficult to play in. This version looks a lot cleaner, and the visuals feel more in-line with the rest of the game’s theme. Also psyched for a new Power Shift map!
It also had pretty bad performance because of all the visuals, pretty much just as bad an fps hit as Kyoto in my experience. I can’t imagine playing that map on a PS4 lol.
