    NATO is a defensive alliance. It poses no threat to anyone unless they attack a NATO country. It’s like a porcupine, just leave it alone and everyone is happy.

    From what i’ve seen yes. We shouldn’t forget Libya but it seems to have a clean track record? I’m not sure why some would have negative views about NATO as an idea but some of their actions can be criticized.

    Ideally, all countries join, which would probably eliminate war entirely.

    Probably not. Most countries wouldn’t waste resources on protecting tiny countries or its opponents. Even just sending reparations some countries fail at. (See the US and iraq :( )

      Fair. But it hopefully dramatically reduce it, though I worry terrorism would increase since that’s the only realistic way to get a point across without official military force.
