    “Tear down all wind turbines” alone ought to be enough to permanently DQ anybody from any position of authority. The fact that the AfD are doing so well in spite of this, in a country that I had previously considered to be full of well-educated rational people, leaves me with little hope for humanity.

        Wellll, that was back when basically all of Europe was just as racist as Germany, and imperialist on top of it. A lot has changed since then. Still, I guess it does still serve as a helpful reminder of how quickly things can change.
