Anti-status quo candidates have been the winners for a while now. Obama and Trump (despite fascism etc) both got elected that way

Then we went back to Joe “nothing will fundamentally change” Biden.

The worst part is that this was not a missed opportunity due to Democrats being out of touch with public sentiments. The DNC had Bernie Sanders staring them in the face while harnessing this exact energy for two straight election cycles. Still, they made a calculated effort to shut that down and rely on the same tired platform that hadn’t won them an election since last century. Hell, they still don’t get it even after losing to a shitgibbon like Trump two separate times.

And some wonder why voters aren’t excited to turn out for Democrats. Pssh.

Oh definitely. I heard it phrased pretty well the other day; they didn’t nominate Joe Biden because he was the only one who could beat Donald Trump, they nominated him because he was the only one who could beat Bernie Sanders.
