The results of the election demonstrate just how the Democrats have failed at fighting for and defending the people.

Only the people will save the people, and that’s why we invite you to join us in the fight to build an independent political organization by and for the working class – the Party for Socialism and Liberation.

Good luck to you. But this will likely just split the vote on the left.

In the UK for a long time we had one right party and multiple left. It just allowed the right to win over and over till everyone strategically voted.

Actually people thought that, but here’s the thing. In our recent election, even if every single person that voted for these third parties, Harris still would have lost. That’s how big the margin was for Trump’s win.

So there is no splitting the vote on the left. They did so badly, that nothing would have made up for it.

If they use this loss as a learning experience, revamp the party, start doing what people actually want and need them to do, then people won’t feel the need to go to another party.

This ignores the people that didn’t vote.

But Trump’s vote count didn’t change that dramatically. Those people will pretty much always vote right.

And unless one left part gets all the votes, which it likely never will, it will always split the vote.

The UK has suffered with it for decades and basically the left only won this time because the right vote was split.

It’s a fundamental flaw in both our democracies. The difference here is the right are less zealous.

I really wish you the best of luck. Having only two options is bullshit. It’ll be a long, hard fight and I genuinely hope it works out for you.

I love Lemmy and the concept of the Fediverse because it allows us to decentralize and avoid relying on the influence of a single instance. If one instance tries to silence dissenting voices, we can always move to another.

Multiple usernames, multiple instances—this ensures our voices aren’t silenced.

That’s why I’m contributing content: to help make the Fediverse stronger and more sustainable.

And you’re here reading my posts, is this all you have going on in your life? lol
