It is not, you fuck up the entire traffic flow while trying to back your Ford festival float into the spot and everyone that parks like a normal person hates it and you.
Right, that’s my point. When you’re parking with your hood-in, it may be faster initially, but it takes longer when you’re leaving. The reverse is true when you’re parking trunk-in. But you also get the other benefits of parking trunk-in, like visibility and being able to get into tighter spaces. Visibility is also just more important when you’re leaving the spot, since y’know, pedestrians and traffic are easier to see.
Backup cameras exist. In fact parking in reverse is increasingly popular because they were added, because most people do not have the ability without the cameras to maneuver their cars in reverse.
And again, you’re adding delay for everyone’s parking activities for nobody’s benefit except your own. When you’re backing out, you’re perhaps adding delay to only people who are on their way to leave, but a person looking to park can just take your spot.
Whether you reverse in or reverse out, you’re going to slow traffic. However, if you reverse in, your visibility is better when you leave, it’s an overall net time save.
Again, when you’re reversing out, someone can take your spot (the person who was held up by you leaving). When you reverse in, you’re holding others up just so you can take up a spot. They get to sit there and watch you fumble parking in reverse for absolutely zero benefit to them.
My rule would be the exact opposite, lol. It’s proven to be safer over and over. The main reason is because you have good vision of the road and traffic when you leave, as opposed to when you have to leave in reverse.
Agreed. It is far safer to back into a parking spot than into traffic, especially if there is pedestrian, bicycle, or motorcycle traffic sharing the lanes.
It’s annoying as hell, it blocks the flow of traffic, and it causes the cars to lineup the wrong way with each other which makes people more frequently open their doors into the side of my car.
Ah, gotcha, you need new underwear and a new stick of deodorant for the job. That makes total sense then, be sure to hold up traffic so you can back in to park. It’s essential.
Nobody can back in to park.
Backing in to park is so much better though. Better viability of the parking space with mirrors. And then when you leave there’s less to think about.

But then you also fix / alleviate traffic flow when you go to leave the spot. It’s a two-part process.
When you’re leaving you’re freeing up a spot. When you’re reverse parking you’re holding up traffic to eventually take up a spot.

Hey man, why so hostile? That “nobody likes you and you have no friends” thing isn’t even funny, it just makes you look like a dick
Is it really “everyone” who hates me, or is it “just you”?
Because I gotta tell ya, I’m OK with 'just you" hating me.

Not to the sides you muppet. Just learn how to do it it’s not hard
They have a fisheye view, you can entirely see the road behind you using one. Also fuck you.

Why?
It’s annoying as hell, it blocks the flow of traffic, and it causes the cars to lineup the wrong way with each other which makes people more frequently open their doors into the side of my car.
When people pull out backwards, they block just as much traffic, with the addition of being riskier.
Why not just forbid forward parking? Backwards parking is often necessary for cars with shit turning circles.
Who told you to drive a parade float to the store?
My manager?
Doing a lot of heavy duty crew cab needing work at the local target?
No, but I need to go to target to grab something for the job I’m doing, and I’m already in my work shuttle.
