Worth noting the fate of previous petitions (they’re not change.org petitions btw, they’re on a dedicated government platform), once a petition reaches 500k signatures it’s supposed to be debated at the parliament:

    • 2 131 368 signatures agaisnt a law that was planning to reintroduce previously banned pesticides (necotinoids), the constitutional council actually cancels the law before a debate is planned by the parliament, then a new version of that law is proposed in front of the parliament (debate still ongoing i believe)

    • 732 086 signatures agaisnt the parliament voted law introducing a presumption of self-defense for cops, meaning they can now murder you on the street and get away with it, the petition gets shut down (closed) with no debate on the premises that since it was voted, it was already debated

    • 707 957 votes against a law proposal that makes no difference between anti zionism and antisemitism, basically making it illegal to criticise Israel, it gets shut down for the same reason as above

also a very convenient official list of the ennemies of the state if the fascists get in power, since you have to sign with your name and address

I’ve never heard of any kind of petition actually changing the status quo. I’m honestly not sure why people sign them.
