My god, what bizzaro places do all the people commenting here live, where all the furniture has wheels ? Dressers with wheels, fridges with wheels, I’m half expecting TABLES with wheels now 😂
I am in Canada, and most large appliances (that are not built in) have wheels so that it’s easier to clean behind them a couple of times a year. The wheels are fairly small, and completely hidden.
Furniture with wheels, like my dresser, aren’t as common. It’s mostly older, solid wood construction, and the wheels are just as small and hidden as they are on the fridge.
If your larger appliance doesn’t have wheels on it, we often buy after-market wheel kits for them. That kit has 32 wheels per appliance in order to spread the weight.
When you add that a lot of drawers here use these types of slides, which adds 4 wheels per drawer, we have some kitchens with over 100 wheels in them.
