It’s very mid. It’s not terrible, but loses pretty much all the fun of the novels and tends to overexplain things A LOT. I made it through the whole season and thought it was generally « kinda fun » although quality was going down at each episode, but I’d have been very sad if I had cared about the adaptation and looked forward to it.
My advice: watch if you have time to waste and really enjoy the novels, don’t watch if you want to watch an actually good show :)

I agree with this, I thought it was fun to watch but man the quality drop off after the first few episodes was rough!
