FAQ’s

Q: Can I avoid Reddit posts?

Kind of. You can’t really avoid them in your feed without blocking the entire community. You can however, scroll down the sidebar here to “Post Sorting” and you can click each location tag. Currently there is no way to restrict a search term in the Lemmy search bar. You’ll need to click each individual location while not clicking the Reddit one.

Q: Who can post here?

Anyone who follows the posting guidelines can make a post here.

Q: Can I repost from Reddit?

As long as you follow the posting guidelines and properly tag your post and link it.

Q: Where can I source material?

Lemmy, Reddit, Ask A Manager and Captain Awkward are common sources. You can use any place where stories are submitted and responded to as long as you follow the proper posting guidelines and credit them per their request or per the posting guidelines. Any other advice columns or transcribed podcasts could be potential other sources.
