As for going across the country, that is directly addressed, France is very small compared to the entirety of the US.
My point is that french people don’t travel to protests, they’re local events by and large. You don’t need to travel far away to participate. You don’t need to go to Minnesota to protest ICE killing people.
I’ll skip the part where you’re acting like a xenophobic asshole, I choose to believe you are only upset about the situation, and simply wish you best of luck in your struggles.

Not to dismiss the general sentiment of the message, but do you think french people go across the country to protest? Do you think we don’t have rent or mortgages to pay? Do you think our police isn’t violent?

290 is plenty enough to reduce the USA population centers to rubbles I’d think. They may be developing interceptors against ICBMs, but multiple countries, France included, are also developing things like hypersonic glide delivery vehicles that are even harder to intercept, so I don’t think it changes the equation much.

You really don’t need 500 warheads for deterrence, and there’s plenty of uranium outside Mali

As far as I am aware, the legal definition came after the concept was academically discussed. I don’t think discussing forms of wage thefts that are not currently under the legal definition (of which law, even?) is to the detriment of anyone except unscrupulous bosses.

Just because something has a legal definition doesn’t mean it can’t have a broader vernacular use.

Ending the year full of cheese is ideal
Is that a copy pasta

Well, as long as you’re willing to be a victim of what you’re preaching, I suppose it’s a fine position to have

You seem to have missed at least part of my point. To keep with the monopoly example, you already can’t assume that it’s too late for anything or there’s time for a game of Uno, because people have different rhythms and there’s variance, so even if you know it’s 2300 for them it still doesn’t solve the problem, you are just making an assumption which may or may not be correct on any given day for any given person.

That would imply everyone living in the same time zone wake up at the same time, go to bed at the same time, etc, where this is clearly not even close to being true. If it’s too late to start a monopoly game for you, you can just say so
Shops, schools etc should just have hours that make sense for the local solar time anyway

English is just a french dialect

Good on you for asking instead of blindly following this “tradition”, I hope you heed what most people are saying here. Progress happens one personal decision at a time, you can be a part of that
That would imply eu states are unwittingly inviting mass surveillance when they know full well what they’re arguing for

I will sometimes walk up to an hour or so to go somewhere but that’s more occasional, for something I need to do regularly 30 minutes is the upper end. Above that, I would usually look at public transports, bike, or car options
1h15 for 3.7 km sounds quite slow though, I would expect closer to 45 minutes for that kind of distance around where I am

Last I checked, it was freely available on tabletop simulator
The way you would execute people reflects more on you than on the people you would execute

It’s the volume of a cylinder, pi times height times radius squared
That’s sheer optimism, pessimism would be more like: “god emperor trump on his golden throne, kept immortal by the sacrifice of thousands of people every day”
