  • So the game show requires you to say things in a category and for the other person to guess that category or word. So if the category were colors, you’d say red, blue, green, etc. If the word were ‘shave’ you’d say “I’m going to do this to my beard”.

In this case the word was “Read”. Now, any straight person on the planet would just use books, magazines, etc. But you’d need to get across multiple cases, probably, for the person to get the word ‘read’.

However these two were queer and with being queer comes having its own slang terms. One common phrase in the gay community is “I’m going to read you for filth” which, essentially, just means roast them. To drag out all their most insane flaws and be brutal as hell in doing it.

So when one of them said “I’m going to do this to you for filth”, there is only one possible answer for a queer person. And he got INSTANTLY without missing a second. Extremely efficient for a game show but also extremely queer as it’s queer terms being used by queer people. The video is even funnier because the host is one of the straightest men around. The camera cut to him looking massively confused. Sorry for teeny screenshot but Instagram sucks.

Bringing back Team America: Space Police was bad enough but can’t say I’m worried. It’s going to be done by the creator of Blindspot. This is dead on arrival, like everything else he’s made since. But yeah. I’d be worried if I were a fan. Just because he worked on Atlantis doesn’t mean shit when everything else he has made has been shit.

Yep. Same thing that got me. I was fascinated reading it like “This lady is fuckin crazy” but that last line got me laughing so hard… I’m a Canadian. Hell, I’m a Newfie. We had people staying in our house who were from the US because a ton of planes landed here in NFLD and a ton of us went to help. Not even I have a reaction that unhinged.

  • I don’t see what that has to do with cm0002 being a cryptofash anticommunist.

    Because of this

using lemmy.ml means I almost never have to interact with him, I don’t even have to bother to block him

Just saying that pretending lemmy.ml is some bastion of hope or something is a bit of a loony stance to take when they outright defend bigotry and queerphobia, furthering it and perpetuating it in their meme communities. Not like it really matters at any rate. Jawa deleted her account for whatever reasons and the mods here have banned cm0002 for a reason not listed anywhere in the rules and seems fucking massively opinionated as a reason. So I’m blocking this whole community anyway and actively avoiding the mod here from now on. Reply, don’t reply, I will never see it

Tuvox wasn’t able to be killed as he was not a real being. He was a glitch. He was an error. Janeway did nothing wrong and I would have Ctrl-Z’d him too.

Honestly, I know that you’re point, but I just wanted to point this out. Let’s say somebody got brain damage They become a completely different person. after a couple of months a treatment is devised to fix this brain damage. However, the person with brain damage no longer wants this. Is it ethical to listen to them? They are not thinking correctly and cannot make the best decisions for themselves. Do you fix the brain damage or do you let them live with this brain damage? Honestly, the argument is not too dissimilar.
