I did check lens as was suggested, and it comes up with a lot of hits but mostly to Pinterest and reddit as it’s been reposted. I don’t see anything factual without diving in further (no pun intended).
I guess lens is better though.

I don’t use the mulvad thing, but I do not set my tailnet device as an endpoint. Only traffic meant for my server gets to my network.
Lots of ways to do it.
The biggest thing is, jf will feel different. Give it a chance, run it side by side Plex for a while. Fix your media database or update your files, do some spring cleaning, and pick jf to watch your stuff until t feels natural. Then it’s time to bring users over.

I was an early adopter to Plex, came over from Boxee when it was a thing and bought a very inexpensive lifetime pass.
I jumped ship about a year ago to jellyfin. I use tailscale and just help people set it up. After initial setup, it’s a toggle and start jellyfin and it functions pretty close to Plex. My users use the Onn box or Nvidia shield. Almost nothing has to transcode. I had issues with poorly encoded mp4 files but mkv streams flawlessly without transcode. Transcode itself is limited by graphics chip.
One note, I don’t add people to my tailscale, each user has their own tailnet and then I join it to mine by inviting them to my server. This gets around the 3 user limit.
Overall, some annoyance and pain but not bad and people went along with my plan and now it’s just normal.
My thing was, it’s my server. If they want what I have then buy an Onn or whatever and spend 15 minutes setting things up. Or don’t. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They start to built up but i clean out occasionally and don’t keep more than 5 of any type. I have never run out and also every device comes with a cable.
5 is arbitrary but it keeps the problem under control.
Don’t let junk take off your life. Every square foot of space has a cost. If the thing being stored is not more valuable (emotionally, dollar value, whatever) than the space it sits in, get rid of it.

I’m using boost now but I miss the swipe to upvote feature I used to have on sync. Any recommendations? That swipe feature was great and made it so easy to throw a vote out there.

Thank you for the explanation. It’s mind boggling how much momentum they had and still currently have despite the bad news for years. I appreciate your response.

Every headline telling me how close they are to broke, or collapse or ruin… Makes me realize how much I don’t understand about economics and geopolitics because these headlines have been the same for the last two years.
I’m not saying it’s inaccurate but when I’m broke, I’m broke and I can’t keep paying rent for another two years.
I see 1000 men dead/wounded a day, 200 vehicles, ships, etc every day and yet with a gdp the same as New York state they seem to have unlimited resources. How would New York alone fund a war for 4 years and run a country and have an entire military. None of it makes sense to me how they are still fighting.

Valid and it fits the narrative being shown through the movie. I just didn’t like having to think about the shootings and the loss the character went through even if it does the job of displaying the absurd world the people are living in.
It doesn’t make it a bad movie, I definitely still enjoyed it, I was just caught off guard by how it made me feel.

Still one I enjoy again once in a while. The concept fascinates me even though it’s a weirdly paced movie with an empty ending.

Just read that there was an after credits audio clip of Rocky speaking, but no translation. I probably missed it by a minute and if I wasn’t with a bunch of other people i would have sat and waited. I’ll catch it on Blu-ray when it’s released or maybe see it in theaters again.
Cinematography is excellent, acting is great and it has some heavy hitters on screen. The story, well, it had to be your type of movie. I’m not a critic. The movie didn’t land for me and my opinion formed pretty early because the topic wasn’t something I was interested in.
None of the characters grow. There’s no exploration of the outside world beyond the characters. It’s very character driven in every aspect. You only see what the characters can see. IMO, every character has significant flaws and weren’t likeable. It can be one or the other but not both.
I enjoyed the film for its good aspects but i won’t be doing a rewatch.

I thought it was really engaging even for a longer movie.
I honestly thought though that the whole school shooting part didn’t have much that couldn’t have been cut. There’s 100 reasons why clones would be a thing other than school shootings. It was too on the nose and cutting would drop 20-25 minutes from the movie and not lose anything from the main point or story.
If I sold someone this as a comedy, I don’t think I’d be doing a good job. It’s funny but has some serious topics it dives pretty heavily into and some people will be caught off guard like I was.
That sounds like a nightmare tbh. So many failure points, so much heat and power usage, and cables.
I have 6 out of 8 bays filled and still feel like it’s a lot to worry about and manage if something fails.

Mine are never round. I haven’t made pizza in a while, it might be time.
There are protective bars you can purchase to prevent that from happening again. May be with it just to save yourself the effort in the future.
My neighbor had one like this in his tree, bald face hornets. He would mow under it and do yardwork, they never bothered him. However, me across the street got stung on two separate occasions before I asked to split the cost of an exterminator because those bastards kept stinging me in the face. I hate killing things but I hate being stung more.

I agree but it’s not always black and white. It’s a pop up every once in a while that I click an x on and move in with my life.
I’m not defending it, but I’m also not loading a new OS on my truck or spending time working on changing it. I obviously hate the popup and don’t want it but it’s been 3 years, its just something I have to do and move on with life in 2 seconds every few months.

Him turning into a magician, just to pull the cloth off the table and have everything crash anyway was pretty good.

For reference, for anyone who isn’t familiar with the 2004 movie Dodgeball.
Late 30’s divorce here about 5 years ago… It takes a while to start over all the life planning but once it gets rolling, things are so much better. That emotional bullshit you fight every day lifts off your shoulders and you can be more focused on the important stuff.
You won’t notice it for a while. Keep going.
