Yeah I am primarly from c++/c#/ruby (rip) background and im currently trying to make a small game in rust bit I am having hard time with it, especially the syntax. I always felt I somewhat understood the whole ptr/ref/async and immutability until i touched rust.
I have used many languages in my experience but never did i encounter a language I find hard to remember basic stuff. I guess I just need to take some time to really learn it.
And yeah I am not abandoning, I do see the advantages and it does skip many (albeit c++ specific) headaches.
Also keep twink-ing, I heard its a gift for rust 🤣
Now I understand why find rust challenging to write, its because I have no femboy twink energy 😅
ah yes… the good old all men are (x) discussion. Look like lemmy is not immune to the gender class warfare.
Yes, evil men (and women too btw) exists. But you know what? We all know it. Blanket statements like all men, all women x, etc are useless parroting that achieve nothing. Thrown around online as if it was going to somehow magically fix anything. But spoiler, all it does is widening the gap of any constructive discussion between gender.
Look at the chat, you see people being in two camps, and its always the same conversation over and over. And you know why its always the same? because this discussion is a fallacy. its a generalization gender based on a minority that is actually affected by power, economic and social status.
If you want to actually make the conversation constructive instead of throwing gas and flame around, how about we give recommendations on how to teach young boy how to treat women correctly? Helping men to figure out what are the telltale sign of what to look for of misbehavior. how to teach women how to identify, protect and the importance of informing safely?
You wont make men listen by just saying they are the enemy on the first sentence, and the worst of all it might just alienate the good one (making them less likely to open about it).
I know when you say all the men dont actualy include literally all. But come on. Its like saying all poor are thieves, or all police officier are violent.

I never saw such thing in canada. But let me guess, you see ads but the gas price is not any cheaper than other gas stations without it?

2·21 days agoAhah you get it. And yeah often when clothing work both ways (everything is unisex), the men clothing looks good on the women character, but not the other way.

1·21 days agoYeah this is a clear edge case. both VA were good but the VA for fem V was insanely well done.

32·22 days agoYou got me, as my defence women characters often have better clothing options, hairstyles options, VA, etc. Lets a man play dress up in peace 😂
I would add some digital recommendations. While not entirely canadian, does help for leaving usa’s ecosystem.
gmail/outlook -> protonmail (switzerland) cosmetics and health -> well.ca (canada) private messaging -> signal app (swiss) laundry & dishes: Nellie’s clean (canada)

Exactly. While I do have issues with the ethical and environmental aspects of AI, I do believe that many of the criticisms are disingenuous. Some made me wonder if the one criticizing never worked in a real dev project and just parroting
Bad developer have been copy pasting from stack overflow, writing slop, not following documentation/standards for years. This will never go away.
AI can do amazing good stuff, keeping the exit criterias checked, act as a second opinion, verifying upstreams and helping building a good prototype. making harnesses, hell even find a forgotten RAII pointer or concurrency.
But it can also lead to making gibberish that no one understands, mess up with productivity factor (if someone do code fast, why dont you??) and many other issue.
I think its all about approaching how we can gatekeep the bad code, instead of trying to pin how it was made.
