  • In a normal country that may be true but in America those super expensive weapons they build are ingrained into the economy. Even if they wanted to go make cheap munitions there’s a dozen level of contracts that would somehow need to be unwound between manufacturers and the government. The ability for America’s Army to pivot away from their current method of building highly complicated, expensive weapons is hindered by the sheer scale of the bureaucracy and entrenched defense contractors. They can’t simply restock munitions in a few years, especially when they keep using them constantly.
