Most veggie/vegan natural stores sell it. Just a dried protein. A slight generic flavour to it like cereal. It absorbs flavour from your sauces or marinades. Here it is about $8-$12 for a bag that will last quite a few meals. But we found an Indian grocery story that sells it as Soya Wadi and its only about $3 per bag. Same stuff. Either in big chunks or ground up into ground beef size bits.
Goes well into tacos, chilli, shephards pie, etc.
Daal mostly depends on what you cook with it, besides the lentil themselves, like a tomato based sauce, yogurt, lemon, etc. The black lentils stay the firmest and have texture after cooking, the red lentils will cook down to a paste…and there are a ton of other types.

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•What are the most flexible/elastic resins for printers? Are there any easily accessible additives that could make standard resins more flexible?English
2·23 hours agoFormlabs sells a materials as low as 40A. Silicone 40A. Or if 50 is Ok then an Elastic 50A, or Biomed 50A.
I can’t speak to if they are formulated to cure with any resin printer or only via their own.

What’s your application, can you substitute geometry structure to provide “softness”.

3·24 hours agoProbably. Maybe a better term for the store prep is “Topping for Making Bruschetta”, but thats too much to say or put on a label.

1·24 hours agoi agree he’s goingfast-, but endo braking doesn’t always mean oops I screwed up, it is often another driver violating a traffic law and suddenly safe riding becomes imminent impact.
I see the bigger Indictator of speed here is how the bike reacts after impact, it still had a ton of energy to launch vertically, instead of just falling down beside the car

2·1 day agoI wouldn’t use the endo as speed facts, I watched our motorcycle instructor do them at low speeds showing how powerful modern disc brakes are.
Also had a friend on a two lane road get cutoff by a person who didn’t want to miss their turn, he clamped the front brake so hard the bike flipped over onto its gas tank.

7·1 day agoBruschetta is the grilled bread with A topping, doesn’t have to be tomatoes, sometimes it is beans or meat. The chopped tomato and spices they sell premade at the store should probably be called Bruschetta topping.

Chilli is always an easy one, and most stores sell a dried ground up TVP to toss in instead of Ground Beef.
My typical go to is an Indian style lentil soup with a variety of lentil types and mixed be. I find it simple because I set it on simmer for half hour or so, and fry up the veg to toss in for the final simmer. ( Daal Fry )
I work from home so getting dinner started , or oven going is easy to monitor; so I’m not the best person to ask for simple meals.
If you go to my account and click posts, you’ll see 90% of them are vegan dinner dishes.
Well said. And I agree on the open source community too.
I have been positing my dinners on the vegan home cooks group. Maybe it catches the eye of somebody who wants to reduce meat consumption and shows alternative dishes that look appetizing.
This is the same with any advocacy groups, the loudest abrasive voice burns distain in the brains of the receiver. As a vegan, some vegans are the worst to have out there talking to people.

I don’t understand why businesses don’t predict this downward spiral. I recall a city with crap bus infrastructure saying ridership was down so they had to increase fares. So then a while later, oh ridership is lower again, let’s increase fares. Duh, its down because the routes suck and you’ve increased the barrier to choosing to use it. SMH
