Yea the rich editor probably broke on an update or something. I’ve dealt with that before. Those rich text editors like ckeditor are amazing, until they break one day or a plugin becomes unsupported and you either fix it, or it messes up loads of your content… Caching saved us more than once with that sort of thing. We just used the cached pages and lelft the original completely broken, it just couldn’t be edited anymore but it showed up fine.

These victims of their own brains are what fuel an economy built on marketing, lies, shady TOC, and absurd prices for terrible quality. They get nothing in the way of compassion for being a victim from me.

Shit should be banned across the board not just for kids. Idk why the fuck authorities are obsessed with kids.

Microtransactions should be illegal across the board. Only content with real creative gameplay value should be able to be purchased, like the usual DLC’s. Also pay2win should be fucking illegal too. Ruining the experience of other players should not be available as long as you’ve got too much money to spend.

I really don’t think there’s a point to being disappointed here… Average consumers will consume any slop that is advertised to them. We can enjoy good games while they enjoy their slop… Though I wish more people supported indie developers.

We already never really gave a shit at the companies I worked at so far. Bosses love spewing shit about AI, telling us to use it and find out more about it, especially coding AIs, but we often try them out for a bit with serious tasks then revert back to only ever using them for formatting or research assistance. My colleagues tried and failed several times to use them for tasks involving non-trivial logic and it never worked, even with paid Cursor or Gemini.

I think it depends on the model. I know for example 2017 ThinkPads are excellent with windows, but the new ThinkBooks are seemingly windows-only…

The drivers for the proprietary hardware are all windows only. And, A LOT of the drivers this machine needs are proprietary. It has a fancy camera with good res and some IR…thing on it, but it only works in 480p resolution and has heavy smearing because 1. It doesn’t use a normal free driver and 2. The driver Lenovo made for it to work is only available on Windows as an exe, and I’m really not knowledgeable enough to try to get it to work on a work machine… If you know what I can do please educate me but I’m not willing to guess and then have to pay for the thing… If you want details it’s the ThinkBook G6 17 IML. The camera thing is just an example.

TL; DR for IDOR for the rest of you: it’s basically based on security through obscurity.
