But but officer they were just innocent influencers committing the noble act of lying for views!
It’s reassuring to see that even in China “influencers” are scumbags taking advantage of the less fortunate.
But they are doing something about it it seems 🤷♂️
Lying for sales. Which we normally would just call fraud. Worse yet, they were misrepresenting themselves as people who were genuinely needy and cashing in on that. Wish we’d see more of this kind of sentencing in the USA.
