I’ll take, “Things that didn’t need a reboot, remake, or sequel” for $100, Alex.
It’s really just away for them to make the beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice movie. The wheels are in motion
Agreed and yet I expect more from this than from new alien movie
Disparaging the reboot is a rebootable offense
If it does well will we get Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice?
OH! SHIT! GTFO OF MY HOUSE!
Biggie Smalls, Biggie Smalls, Biggie Smalls
Candlejack, Candlejack, Cand –
Freak-a-me, freak-a-you
Tacos tacos tacos
Hey that one worked
Oh wow, another remake cash grab for millennial nostalgia with no hint of any original plot or story line. Simply one “look it’s the person from Beetlejuice” shot again after another.
This is more for GenX nostalgia. The oldest millennials were barely 7 when this came out and most probably didn’t see it until they were older.
Im a millennial, and I grew up watching this movie.
That’s why the nostalgia is for Millenials, they grew up watching this movie from childhood.
Hey, maybe we can get Keaton and Shelley Long to do a remake of ‘Graveyard Shift!’
Mr. Grandma next?
And Johnny Dangerously Jr. after that!
Anybody that doesn’t want a Johnny Dangerously reboot is a fargin icehole!
Good comment. It also reminded me of some good three generation movies. “Diamonds” with Kirk Douglas and Dan Aykroyd and “Family Business” with Sean Connery, Dustin Hoffman, and Matthew Broderick.
Next, do: “get off my lawn!”
Hey, if being interested in some semblance of original thought makes me a grumpy old man, then…
get off my lawn!
Haha! 😆
Since you like remakes:
Ah hey, yet another remake money grab for millennial nostalgia without creativity. Just “ooh that guy from Beetlejuice” scene one after another.
I can’t tell if it’s a straight remake using much of the original cast reprising their roles, or a sequel with much of the original cast reprising their roles.
A sequel could be cool. A straight remake, using the original actors, seems weird. It’s like… Not even a remake. It’s just a reshoot. Decades later.
Looks more like a sequel based on the daughter of Lydia. Which is interesting but looks really like it might be the same movie.
No
Best criticism yet honestly lol
I hope it’ll be good, but I expect it won’t be.
I’ve seen Beetlejuice 167 times and it keeps getting funnier every single time I see it!
If you watch now, you get a free demon possession with every view!
Crap, I really wanted to like it, but the teaser was underwhelming (to say the least)
I feel like this is exactly what movie trailers should be - short and quick to the point without revealing too much. Movie trailers have gotten so long that you could just connect scenes together.
Its a Tim Burton movie in 2024. Underwhelming will be the best we can expect.
I can’t argue with that point, but I think Michael Keaton is a great actor and could lift the movie, but the trailer didn’t excite me at all…
They should’ve released a red band version complete with all the horn honkin’ f bombs they can pack in there.
I’m kind of afraid it won’t be much better, but we’ll see…
I’m actually optimistic on this one. It took them over a decade to get the right script to bring the actors back. I think there is hyper awareness to not screw this up so I imagine it’s at least ok. Look at the reboot of Ghostbusters (afterlife I think). That was a nice blend of nostalgia to keep us older heads happy and fun enough to engage the younger population. I am hopeful for the same with Beetlejuice.
I worked on this in VT and got injured on my first day. 🤣. Looks like it’s going to be one of those victims of its own nostalgia. It’ll be cameos and callbacks, I’m guessing.
I hope you’re wrong
Judging by the preview, I’m not. They even stole the whole spooky version of theme song sung in a capella trope.
Just glad it isn’t Beetwojuice or something like that.
TwoBeetle TwoJuiciest
Beetle 2: Electric Beetleloo
ITT: Same whining, different day.
If you don’t want to see it, DON’T!
Even for a teaser, that was some hot diarrhea.
