I’ve had a lot of fun over the last few days, and of course there have been campers from the start, but today I’m just getting shot down at EPs.

Same experience, but one week later, this Saturday.

They added one of those achievements that award the blue tokens (used to buy stuff in the raider deck) where you had to kill/loot another raider.

Boom: PvP spiked… feels normal again today (Sunday) though.

Just luck. But maybe grab a hatch key before you head out.

Just extracted from solo with 3 friendlies tagging along.

I always forget that hatch keys exist, until I see a hatch. And then I get angry at my own stupidity.

For me, I’ve never had this issue so far. I’ve heard people complain about it though. I’ve played other extraction shooters where it is an issue though. I think part of it is I expect people to be at extract. It’s when I have the most to lose and where every player is heading eventually. It also alerts players when it’s in use. It’s a natural point of contact.

Because of this, I am cautious around them. I rarely just run up to the extract. I move toward them, but at a tangent, not direct. I’m looking out for players and for ARC alerting to players. Once I press the button I back away by at least 10-20m and stay in cover. If I see other players I’ll almost always ask if they want to leave together (while staying in cover) and they usually do. Other people at extract are usually also full of loot and have little to gain by fighting, and a lot to lose. People will usually be friendly if you ask, but hostile of you don’t because you’re an unknown and they have high risk.

The more popular a game, the more it attracts those who have fun by destroying fun.

Sure, but that’s not the only possible motive. People leaving probably have good loot.

Better to think of it this way: you’re not safe till you’re out. Extracts are not a safe zone, they’re a natural point of contact. Expect it, play around it.

I usually play duo, but today I had two solo runs. My first ones. Died both times to what felt like extract campers on Dam. One was sniping from a nearby building and the other one camped in a hut near the extract, rushing people when they called the elevator.

EP Camping was present on all maps for me as a Solo Player. Dam and City were the worst. Blue Gate and Spaceport were somewhat OKish.

I have done my first three solo raids yesterday :

I was shot by one raider out of the 15 I encountered and everybody was saying the dont shoot emote while questing. I was shocked by how different the solo lobbies are. Much much more friendly than I expected.

Not an extract camp but this bastard tried to take me out mid-looting.

Too bad there were other solo players about that did not take kindly to his shenanigans. Hilarity ensued.

Worth turning up the volume on this one, methinks.
