I’ve been wanting off both dropbox and Google drive for a while now. I’ve no tried https://app.filen.io/ , https://jottacloud.com/en/ and https://proton.me/drive/ and i’ve setlled on the first one. why?
works across all platforms and in muktiple ways including webdav, sync and my favourite as a network drive (https://docs.filen.io/docs/desktop/network-drive)

Why pay someone for this when you can self host something similar, or if you only need multi-platform file sync, there are tools like Syncthing and Resilio.
Or,if you want native tools to work, spin up a Mesh VPN like Wireguard, Tailscale, or Hamachi on Windows and Linux.
I’m not paying, as mentioned I have 20GB free which is more than enough. syncthing at least is Swedish and works well enough (just not on my phone). Resilio is US based as are some of the others you listed
