The Best Made in Canada House brand?

Overall, Compliments takes the win for having the highest percentage at 53% of items being made in Canada while Save-On-Foods’ Western family takes a close second with 47% being either made in Canada or Product of Canada.

The President’s Choice and No Name are still decent options when looking for Canadian made or Canadian prepared options and they likely have quite a few items that could be identified as made in Canada and product of Canada, but at this point that information simply isn’t being shared either because of a lack of organization or a deliberate attempt to provide vague information.

    Until they start labeling all store brand products with their location of manufacture, we will never know.

    “Prepared for…” or “imported by…” doesn’t tell us anything useful.

    And that doesn’t only apply to store brands.
