What is it like to use PeerTube as a video creator? Spoiler alert: it’s amazing!
Disclaimer: I had a rough beginning with PeerTube. The first instance I joined - that shall not be named - was filled with pirated content proudly displayed on its “Discover” page. I found PeerTube channels that boasted having “full films”. This included independent documentaries – which I personally found a little heartbreaking from the POV of an indie filmmaker.
The “Discover” page is generated automatically and randomly. It shows videos from all federated PeerTube servers. You can’t select which videos show up there.
Is there a way to specifically put different hashtags on a server?
I have a personal server for the family and the random nature can be an issue sometimes.
I don’t think so, but I have seen some sites hiding the discover page.
