Update: The physics department has recruited an astronomer who studies meteor fireballs.
Explain: https://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php/3061:_Water_Balloons
Recent advances is water battle technology include a device, essentially a loose sponge wrapped in lycra, which can be lobbed at one’s opponent. Then it can be ‘recharged’ by squeezing is submerged in a bucket of water; several of these refill buckets can be placed around the battle area. Their re-charge capacity makes them superior to single use water balloons.
Also less mess to clean up. Plus, you can use your enemy’s weapon. My mom hated cleaning up bits of balloon from the yard, so she gave up straight up kitchen sponges to lob at each other. It was very fun, I’d love to use the purpose made ones kids have nowadays
i now want to have 1L water balloons at least i mostly seen/had 200ml ones
When my dad was a kid he used to fill up the empty bags bread comes in then climb up on the fairly flat roof of a shed and throw them at his twin sister. I’m sure those were at least a liter, probably more.
Although thinking about it, 200 ml seems small. I would think I’ve usually been more in the neighborhood of 500 ml when filling them.
Use use normal balloons. If you don’t fill them enough though, they’re hard to pop.
Chemistry and Cosmology got involved, and then things got really weird.
