It’s happening, the worst mayor Toronto has ever had is removing three major recently completed bike lanes at tax payer expense. That’s right, Ontario tax payers are footing the bill for Ford to meddle in Toronto municipal infrastructure. This is of course to distract us from failing healthcare and education while appealing to his mostly car centric base.
There is a protest happening Wed. 23rd of October, please come out if you can. https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/rally-ride-for-road-safety-tickets-1045417761667
Boy that guy is just a real piece of shit eh?
I’d say I’m glad we don’t have him as premier, but we have Danielle Smith so somehow you guys in Ontario are still better off.
I think it would be really funny if this guy got run over by a Dodge Ram.
If you look on a map hes literally removing the bike lands from the roads he uses to get to work.
Hahaha, I can’t imagine my governor reigning in on a few particular bike lanes, but I suppose it’s only a question of time until some idiot gets elected who wants to overturn municipal decisions. Could be a fun few years in court.
It’s the culture war. It’s about hurting the right people. Doug Ford wants to call an election two years early, because if the federal government flips to a conservative party, Doug won’t win the next provincial election. He has been running a campaign for the last three or four months and doing the most counterproductive, populist bullshit.
There is also a number of open investigations against his government, some of them quite serious. And he did a LOT MORE shady shit recently that there hasn’t even been time for investigators to respond to. He’s probably also wanting to have an election before these chickens come home to roost.
Yeah, I don’t know if you’ve heard of Doug Ford’s late crackhead former mayor brother, but that family has a huge vendetta against most progress in the provincial capital.
