Just saw all of your plant\flower shots and they’re all phenomenal. I love that you keep\make them dark so it’s like the subject melts into a dark void. You’ve got an awesome style.
Are you shooting with a 105mm prime? Is it a dedicated macro lens? What kind of lighting do you look for when you shoot?
Aww, thanks for taking an interest in my photography. I shoot with a Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4 L IS USM lens most of the time. Mostly because I find the lens pretty versatile for my needs. I love shooting on cloudy days to keep things dark and avoid super harsh contrast and shadows, but if it is sunny I will make do. I’ll shoot slightly underexposed a lot, but I am not above altering my photographs in post if I like the shot enough to fix it later.
Cool! I’ve seen good things about that lens. Awesome to hear you shoot on cloudy days. Gives me a reason to take the camera out on more often
